Grand Opening Gala and Benefit Concert

The Grand Opening Gala on April 12, 2012 was an historic occasion featuring legendary artists performing for members of the community, many who had worked for decades to bring The Howard Theatre back to life. The event raised funds to support Howard Theatre Restoration's efforts to build the Howard Theatre Culture and Education Center which will include a museum, recording studio, listening library, classrooms and donor lounge.
